Flagstone is not one specific type of rock — it's a general term for sedimentary stones that split easily into flat layers.
Common types of flagstone include: Sandstone Slate Limestone Bluestone It’s typically cut or broken into irregular slabs or sometimes square/rectangular pieces, depending on the look you want.
